  • Custom USB Drives - 05/05/2009
    I love all the creative iterations of the flash drive--but several issues remain paramount--security and compatibility. I recently bought an 8G flash drive to help me download my files from my desktop to transfer them to my laptop only to find that the USB drive on my laptop cannot handle the new 8G flash drive. Very frustrating. So I'm back to making multiple transfers from an old 512MB flash drive. And as for security, I like the idea of an optical scan of my thumbprint, but I couldn't be sure such a drive would work with both my iMAC and my laptop (Thinkpad).
