About Me:
I started my writing-and-editing business in 2001 after 24 years at daily newspapers, starting with the Oakland Press in Pontiac, Mich., and ending at the San Francisco Chronicle. It was the best move I could have made; now I'm the CEO, CFO, manager, employee and office cleaner, with no worries about "right-sizing" or downsizing! It's said that everything we do contains meaning, and I've found it's true. Who would have thought that working my way through college by selling scientific supplies and running a restaurant would lead to a business in which I write about business and entrepreneurship? You'll see my byline in Hispanic Business and other national magazines, plus a few newspapers and books. Repeat after me: It's good to be the boss.
